Gate Gourmet locked-out workers yesterday campaigning for their First Anniversary March |
GATE Gourmet locked-out workers were interviewed by the Heathrow Airport free newspaper Skyport yesterday.
Parmjit Bains told News Line: ‘All Heathrow Airport workers read it.
‘They always give us a fair report.
‘We told them what happened on the day we were locked out and what has happened to us during the past year.
‘We want all airport workers, especially British Airways workers, to support our first anniversary march and rally in Southall on Sunday August 20th.
‘British Airways workers came out in sympathy action to support us when we were locked out one year ago, we want them with us for our anniversary rally.’
Lakhinder Saran said: ‘It’s just two weeks to go before our march and we are inviting people to give us support.
‘We are fighting for our rights and all workers rights.
‘We did nothing wrong and were sacked for no reason then our union leaders signed the deal which stabbed us in the back.
‘BA workers are now faced with fighting for their pensions. We are going to win our fight and we know that BA workers will win theirs.’
Mohinder Virk said: ‘All trade unionists should come to our rally.’
Raj Sahdev added: ‘Everyone we meet supports us. We want them to join us on the day.’
